Zaha Hadid is dead

Zaha Hadid is dead. The British architect born in Iraq left at the age of 65.

The famous designer died this morning at a hospital in Miami, where she got a heart attack from which she failed to save.

Laureate, among others the Pritzker Prize and the Royal Institute of British Architects gold medal, was known among others from projects such as the Water Sports Center in London, the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku, and the National Opera building in Guangzhou.

For many, she was considered the most outstanding woman architect in the world.
