A new viewing platform on the Eiffel Tower

The French office of Serero Architects won the competition for the design of the reconstruction of the Eiffel Tower. The design of the office will not interfere with the current structure of the building, but will only add a new element to the observation tower at the top.

The platform will be located at an altitude of 296 meters, expanding the usable area from 280 to 580 m2. The construction will be made of Kewlar, a thin but extremely strong carbon fiberglass. The platform will be attached to the tower temporarily, only for the celebration of the 120th anniversary of the construction of the symbol of Paris.
