Zaha Hadid was born Zaha Mohammad Hadid on October 31, 1950.

She grew up under the wing of her father, who was the president of the Iraqi Democratic Party. From an early age, she knew that one day she would become an architect and became involved with mathematics for good. It was this direction she chose in college and completed her bachelor's degree at the American University of Beirut.

After graduation, she decided to leave and went to London. It was here that she continued her education at the Architectural Association School of Architecture. After 5 years, she graduated from college and became an architect. Then she started cooperation with the Office of Metropolitan Architecture. The owners are Rem Koolhaas and Elia Zenghelisem. It was under their supervision that she gained experience, which later helped her to start her own company. Koolhaas stated that Zaha is a planet that moves in its own orbit and the decision to set up its own office is a very good idea.

In 1987, Zaha Hadid decided to set up her own architectural office. The beginnings, as always, were not easy, because her projects were very bold and often required the use of hard-to-reach technologies and materials.

It should be mentioned that Zaha is a representative of deconstructivism. It focuses on disturbances in structure and forms. This was the style Zaha felt best in.

It is very interesting that she did not use a computer for her work. Everything she designed was done by hand, so she had a very wide field to show off. She also emphasized that the art of architecture is not about beauty.

Awards that Zaha Hadid has won include:

- The Pritzker Prize, which she received in 2004,
- Mies van Der Rohe Award received in 2003,
- The Stirling Prize was awarded twice in 2010 and 2011.

Her achievements include works such as:
- Skyscraper at the IBA exhibition in Berlin,
- Bergisel Ski Jump in Innsbruck,
- BMW car factory near Leipzig,
- Phaeno - science museum in Wolfsburg,
- Aquatics Center in London,
- Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center in Baku.

These are, of course, examples of buildings, because Zaha has many, many more.
