Jonathan Pollard (August 7, 1954) is a former intelligence analyst who was found guilty of spying for Israel. Pollard and his wife Anne kept many classified documents in their apartment until arrested in 1985. Jonathan Pollard was convicted in June 1986 and sentenced to a life sentence in federal prison. Anne received five years. Over the subsequent years Israel and other sympathetic activists have lobbied for clemency on Pollard's behalf. Finally on November 20, 2015 Pollard was released and placed on five years parole.
