Driekloof Dam is a small reservoir section of the Sterkfontein Dam, with the capacity of 35,600,000 cubic metres.

The water is pumped to Driekloof during times of low national power consumption (generally over weekends) and released back into the Kilburn dam, 500m lower, during times of high demand, generating up to 27.6Gwh of electricity through four 250 MW turbine generators.
