Today was celebrated the eighth anniversary of the tragedy in which nearly 3,000 people were killed. During the ceremony, the names of all the victims of September 11, 2001 were read.
In the place where the twin towers stood, 4 buildings will be built, each project of a different architect. The central and, at the same time, the highest one, called the Freedom Tower, will be 541.32 meters high, it will be completed last in 2013. As a result of disputes between the investor Larry Silverstain and the city authorities who own the land, the construction has been significantly delayed.
See current photos from Ground Zero on the square where the listed towers will be built.

The metallic, full-bodied building was designed by world-famous architect Jurgen Mayer together with architects from Ovotz. This is the first modern hotel in Krakow for years. The first, which is already loud on the international arena. And the first, which has a chance to become a new icon of the city.

Measuring 44 heels, 159 meters high and 241-room hotel rooms, the Mandarin Oriental skyscraper burned down in downtown Beijing.
The luxury hotel included in the complex of the new headquarters of Chinese television burned down completely, the cause of the tragedy were probably fireworks.
The skyscraper, built for over 6 years, has not yet been put into use, so there probably was nobody inside.

The turbulent and long history of the Vauxhall Tower skyscraper project is coming to an end. The idea was created already in the seventies. On the south bank of the Thames, the first apartment building in London was to be built, the height of which would exceed 150 meters. The crisis in 1973 prevented the implementation of this bold project. Even then the idea met with sharp and violent criticism. Today, after more than thirty years, the project is closer to implementation than ever before.
