The longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world was opened in the Sochi National Park in Russia.
The span of the bridge is 520 meters long, and over 740 tons of metal and 2,000 cubic meters of concrete were used for its construction lasting two years. Being a part of AJ Hackett Sochi Skypark, the project was made together with employees from New Zealand.
The bridge and the bungee platforms on it are supported by eight 52 mm thick cables, each of which is estimated to be up to 300 tonnes.

A replica of the famous Egyptian Sphinx located in a park in the suburbs of Shijiazhuang (northern China) was made by Chinese followers. Its dimensions are 30 meters high and 80 meters long, and the whole was made of steel rods and cement and then painted with a yellow color, in contrast to the original from Giza, which was made of huge stones.
The Supreme Council of Antiquities of Egypt lodged a complaint with UNESCO regarding Chinese imitators. In response, representatives of the park apologized and reported that they did not intend to hurt the feelings of the Egyptians, and the replica was to serve as a temporary "decoration" used in film and television productions and that it would soon be demolished.

A new world record in BASE jumping has established two Frenchmen from the top measuring 828 meters of the tallest building in Dubai.
The previous 672-meter record obtained also on Burj Khalifa was beaten thanks to the installation of a special temporary 150-meter platform at the top.

During the night from Sunday to Monday in the fourth largest city of China - Guangzhou, a fire broke out in the 99-meter Jianye Building. 380 firefighters fought with the element from 7 pm to 6 am, when it was announced that the fire was under control.
The construction of the skyscraper began in 1995, but was suspended three years later. The building was not inhabited, it was only used as a storage for shoes and skins, therefore as a result of the fire nobody suffered, 20 people were evacuated.
As a reminder, in the Chinese province of Guangdong, many fires took place this year, including a fire in a warehouse in Guangzhou, in which 36 people were injured, and a fire on the market in Shenzhen last Wednesday, in which 16 people were killed.

On Tuesday, the Chinese authorities announced "in line with the national savings campaign", a five-year ban on new government buildings across the country. The decision announced by the Xinhua agency is part of the campaign against the extravagance of authorities and corruption led by President Xi Jinping and his administration.
This decision also includes buildings for training centers, hotels, motels and other "expensive constructions", also prohibits luxury interior reconstruction and expansion of offices under the guise of renovation work or urban space planning.

In the city of Changsha (Hunan province), the world's tallest building - Sky City - is to be built. The skyscraper is to measure 838 meters, i.e. be more than the current record holder Burj Khalify about 10 meters. According to the main contractor, the Chinese Broad Sustainable Building, the building is just completed. The investment cost is estimated at 9 billion yuan (1.11 billion euros). The usable area of ​​the entire complex, which will include a 220-storey skyscraper, 4 side 3-7-story buildings and a 4-storey cellar, will amount to 1.2 million m2, it will be a home or a workplace for 30,000 people.

Eiffel Tower has been made available for viewing using the Google tool Street View. This is another building, after Burj Khalifa , where Google employees made 360-degree, panoramic photos of several floors of the monument. In addition, the photos are enriched with many stories, designs and engravings depicting the history of the Eiffel Tower.
