It is located just outside the walls and stands atop a steep cliff. It rises proudly on a step sliff about 37 meters high, as if wrapped up in the legends about its origin, as well as those referring to the heroic deeds of its guards and defenders.It was originally designed for defense against enemies approaching from the west. But now it's used for popular stage plays performed during the summer time.
