Varso Tower the highest building in the European Union

Varso Tower has become the tallest building in the entire European Union. This happened after a 73-ton and 80-meter spire was installed on the 230-meter-high skyscraper.

With a total architectural height of up to 310 meters, Varso Tower has surpassed existing skyscrapers in Frankfurt (Commerzbank Tower - 259 meters and Messeturm - 256 meters) and Madrid (Torre de Cristal - 249 meters and Torre Cepsa - 248.3 meters).

The 53-storey skyscraper is part of the Varso Place mixed-use project, developed by HB Reavis according to the design by Foster and Partners. It will comprise offices, a hotel, an innovation center and a retail and service arcade.

When the construction work is completed, the building will be finished.

After the completion of construction work planned for 2022, the building will attract, among other things, with its green lobby with handmade mosaic walls. From there, two glass elevators will fly at the speed of 8 meters per second, taking tourists to the top of the skyscraper, where they will be able to admire the views of the city. Two observation decks will be located at the height of 205 and 230 meters, which is twice as high as the observation deck of the nearby Palace of Culture and Science. The Palace of Culture and Science was the tallest building in the country for 66 years, but just a few days ago it lost this title to Varso Tower.

The larger part of Varso Tower is already covered with 4-meter-high glass panels, which will provide excellent access to natural light. The top-level BREEAM and WELL certificates received ensure that the building will be energy efficient, comfortable and safe.
