Umaid Bhawan Palace Jodhpur in India has been announced by TripAdvisor as the best hotel in the world.
Built in 1929-1943, the palace served as the residence of Maharaja Umaid Singh, it was only at the end of the twentieth century that it was transformed into a hotel.
The building itself has 347 rooms and consists of 3 parts: a royal residence, a museum and a 5-star hotel offering 64 Art Deco style apartments, the cheapest of which is available from $ 390 per night.
Covering an area of 11 hectares, the complex (6.1 hectares are gardens) is now the sixth largest private residence in the world.
The building is 210 meters wide and 111 meters high.
