The glass pyramid will decorate Paris

A new object will appear on the Paris horizon. The 50-storey, 200-foot-high glass pyramid is to be the first of six innovative towers on the outskirts of the city.
The team of the Mayor of Paris, Bertrand Delanoe, proposed the lifting of the ban on the construction of buildings higher than 37 meters since 1977. Public buildings and office buildings could go up as much as 200 meters and residential ones for 50 meters.
Two-thirds of the inhabitants of Paris are opposed to the construction of high-rise buildings.
