Exactly 60 years ago, the Palace of Culture and Science was opened.
Although some consider the date of opening as July 21, when the USSR government officially handed over the Palace to the Polish authorities, the majority believe that the next day, July 22, 1955, is the opening day of the Palace, then the ribbon was cut and passed to the Polish public.
On the occasion of the jubilee, numerous attractions were prepared in the vicinity of this highest Polish building, including plays in Tetris in the windows of the Palace (July 23 around 10:00 pm), show Light and Sound (July 24 22.00 - 22.30).
