Chrysler Building sold

The famous New York Chrysler Building on Lexington Avenue was sold yesterday (August 24, 2001) to Dusseldorf-based company GVP. A company representative said that they bought a company for investment purposes. The entire stake will be sold to German investors. According to GVP, 828 million German marks (around 395 million dollars) were paid for the building. The previous owner of the Chrysler building was Tishman Speyer Properties.
