China approved the project to build the world's highest dam

The dam, 314 meters high, will stand on the Dadu River in Sichuan province. Thanks to the construction of a hydroelectric power plant with a capacity of 20 gigawatts, China wants to reduce its dependence on coal. By 2020, 15% of the energy needs to come from renewable sources. The investment is in the future 10 years and will absorb 5.2 billion dollars.
