A huge gap in Florence at the Ponte Vecchio bridge

Today in Florence, near the oldest stone bridge in Europe - Ponte Vecchio, a huge gap was created, 200 meters long and 7 meters wide.

According to the local police, the ravine was caused by the cracking of the pipe underground.

The situation is very serious, because the landslide may grow, more than 30 cars collapsed in the ground, and nearby tenement houses and the famous "bridge of goldsmiths" are endangered.

At present, devices are monitoring the condition of the ground in the affected area.
